Matchain 2025 Wrap-Up: What Got Built, What Got Used, What’s Next

2025 was a year of real progress.

We focused on what matters: building infrastructure people use, and proving on-chain identity, engagement, and rewards can operate at scale.

Here’s what shipped, what scaled, and what sets us up for 2026.

1B On-Chain Transactions Confirmed the Signal

That volume came from live campaigns, partner activations, fan experiences, and day-to-day use. A clear sign that identity, participation, and value are converging in a single system.

MatchID and MatchAI Made Identity Work for Builders

We launched MatchID v1, giving every user a portable identity that connects actions, wallets, and reputation without resetting on every new platform.

MatchAI, built with DataCurve, added visibility. Partners now get sharper insights into participation patterns, retention triggers, and campaign performance.

MatchQuest was upgraded with native MatchID login, improving onboarding and reducing drop-off across journeys.

These tools turned identity from an idea into usable infrastructure.

$MAT Moved From Token to Working Infrastructure

On June 19, $MAT entered full circulation.

It now runs through MatchID, MatchHUB, and live campaign flows. It listed on Binance Alpha and integrated with Omni Exchange for expanded liquidity.

We launched staking, participation paths, and a structured six-round airdrop cadence tied to contribution.

We also integrated with Native, a DEX infrastructure layer that lets any app enable in-app swaps in minutes. It combines the speed of a centralized exchange with the self-custody and on-chain settlement of a DEX. Now, developers and partners can offer seamless, embedded trading without leaving their app, making $MAT and ecosystem assets easier to use, move, and access.

RWA Infrastructure Became Real

This year, we moved 200 million BRL of Brazilian real estate on-chain.

That kicked off MatchRWA, a foundation for tokenized real-world assets that connect verifiable ownership with on-chain identity and smart incentives.

It proved that the same rails we built for fans and communities also work for assets and institutions.

How PSG Turned Identity Into Long-Term Fan Infrastructure

In 2025, we launched the PSG x Matchain Joint Innovation Studio, a long-term collaboration focused on building real fan and player infrastructure.

This is a dedicated space for developing scalable, identity-driven systems and projects inside one of the most iconic clubs in sport.

We’re already working through the first batch of projects from teams who applied to build through the JIS. Early outputs include PlayerID, a unified identity and performance layer for athletes, and the VIP Silver Card, which ties fan membership to verifiable identity.

The JIS is open, and interest is growing from clubs, startups, and builders who want to create real impact in the world of sport.

Same Rails. More Surfaces.

Matchain’s core architecture didn’t change. But the number of ways it’s being used did.

We partnered with The Binary Holdings to distribute apps and games through OneWave, reaching over 169 million telco users.

We launched SURGE, a Bitcoin prediction game where fans earn rewards based on accuracy, with no trading required.

Every new use case validated the same principle: when identity and participation are built in, engagement improves.

Physical Ownership Got Verifiable

We partnered with CIFR, a company that builds tamper-proof NFC chips for physical authentication. Their tech connects real-world items directly to digital identity.

Our first activation: signed PSG shirts embedded with CIFR chips, tied to verified MatchIDs. Each one can be tapped to prove ownership, confirm authenticity, and unlock deeper access.

Now, other global brands are exploring how they can use this same system to turn physical goods into trusted touch points and long-term loyalty assets.

Looking Ahead to 2026

The foundations are in place. Identity, participation, access, and rewards are already connected and working in the wild.

Now it’s time to scale what’s working.

In 2026, we’re expanding that loop across:
